Funerals and Memorials (including Pets)
If services are arranged via a Funeral Director, they will arrange to pay the fee and charge you as part of their overall costs. If booking directly, the fee is due 2 days prior to the day of the ceremony. If the service is cancelled, you will be liable for costs relating to any work carried out and possibly the full fee if cancellation is at short notice.
Weddings, Civil Partnerships and Other Celebrations
Payment:
A initial payment of 50% is payable at the point of booking. Payment of any balance is due 28 days before your ceremony.
Legal Status:
For weddings, civil partnerships and commitment ceremonies you are aware that Celebrant led ceremonies do not currently have legal status in England and Wales. To complete a legal marriage or civil partnership you must complete a statutory registration at a Register office or licensed premises with a Registrar
Cancellation:
You have a right to cancel a contract with me without giving any reason within 14 days of entering into the contract. In order to exercise your right to cancel, you must inform me of your decision in writing (letter sent by post or email). You are advised to obtain proof that you have informed me.
To meet the cancellation deadline, you should let me know that you wish to cancel before the cancellation period has expired. If you cancel this contract within this period, reimbursement will be made without undue delay and not later than 14 days after the cancellation notice has been received. The reimbursement will be made using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. You will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.
If you cancel the booking after the 14-day period and prior to 28 days before the ceremony all, or part, of the 50% initial payment will be retained. A pro-rata payment will be taken for work already undertaken (including correspondence, administration and holding your date, i.e.
turning down other bookings on that day). If cancellation is within 28 days of the ceremony, you will be liable for the full costs.
Postponement:
Any postponement of the event will be honoured providing there is availability to do so. In the event of wishing to postpone you must discuss dates with Elle in order to ensure she can honour your request, otherwise the above cancellation fees will apply. Postponement beyond a 12-month period may incur a small additional charge to respect price increases.
Privacy Policy
Data protection: You will only be asked for personal information relevant to your ceremony. All personal information provided will only be used by Elle and exclusively used to plan and conduct your ceremony. The information will not be shared with anyone else without your consent. All your information will be encrypted and securely stored on a password-protected computer. You will receive a “keepsake copy” of your service, as a printed document or a PDF document version by email. All information supplied will be destroyed within 7 days following your ceremony.
More
